Fifteen Months Old!

Isabelle is fifteen months old today. She is growing up so fast! Isabelle loves to laugh and giggle. People comment "Is she always this happy?" and I reply "Yes she is!". Okay, so she does have her moments, but for the most part she is happy.

Isabelle is also full of energy! She is in constant motion and she loves to get into things. The kitchen drawers are her favorite. She loves pulling out the lids and clanging them on the hardwood floor.


Isabelle also responds pretty well to what we are saying. For example, she will go to the gate at the stairs when you say "Ready to go up/down stairs?". She will also walk to her bedroom when I say "It's night, night time or nap, nap time." Sometimes she will cry because she doesn't want to go, but that usually stops within a minute of putting her in her crib and leaving the room.

We have also been working on signs with Isabelle. She knows: more, done, milk, book, poop, bath, please, thank you, and hat. A friend of mine told me about Signing Time on PBS which airs on Sunday mornings at 7am. This has been a great tool in learning signs.


Isabelle also loves to dance. She will start moving to any type of music. Even in the car she will start bobbing her head to the music. Twirling is also a part of her dancing which she loves to do.

Swimming is still a once a week activity and Isabelle still loves the water. Even thought the pool at the gym is much colder, she still likes to splash, kick, and go underwater during swim class. This fall we will go back to the warm water at Children of the Sea.

We absolutely adore our little girl and are amazed at what she can do every day! :)
