Isabelle had her swim lesson today and she was the "star pupil". We did baby drops today. This is where the instructor sat on the edge of the pool holding the baby while the parent is in the water. The instructor let the baby "drop" into the water after the baby was given the "Ready Go" queue. All the other babies in Isabelle's class did belly flops. However, Isabelle dove head first into the water and surfaced herself with little help from me. The instructor was very impressed and she said that was exactly what she wanted to have happen! We also practiced swimming underwater, then coming up for a breath, and then swimming underwater again. Isabelle was able to hold her breath to the count of four. Isabelle amazes me every week at swim class.
