Today was busy but also low key. Roo and I went on one last shopping trip to get some things we forgot yesterday at the grocery store and to purchase more wrapping paper. Santa's elves ran out! I worked in the kitchen all day making my traditional Christmas Kringle bread for breakfast tomorrow and a chocolate ice cream roll for dessert tomorrow night. This evening, the three of us went to Trinity Episcopal Cathedral for the 4:30pm family service. We arrived about a half hour before the service started and the church was almost full. We managed to find a pew in the back of the church. My dad and step-mom, Earle and Cindy, joined us for the service. This was the first time Damien and I had attended the family service and it was quite nice. There were two childrens choirs and some of the teens from the congregation did the readings. The bonus of the evening was at communion when Isabelle was blessed by the Bishop of Oregon. Isabelle enjoyed the service especially when the lights were dimmed at the end of the service for Silent Night. After church we came home and had our borscht and pyrohy. The rest of the evening was relaxing for all of us. (Roo passed out in the chair downstairs watching Sports Center).
